“Preparation for state exams A+. Family environment, overall Boise Baber College covered everything and anything a student would use and need after college to pursue their career.”

Bryan B.

“I went to Boise Barber College in 2019 to get a barber license after having a Cosmetology license for 8 years. I wanted to learn how to cut hair like a barber and to shave with a straight razor. The school was beautiful! The instructors were awesome! I learned the basics, onto working on the floor, taking clients, to state board preparation. I felt like I got more than my moneys worth!”

Latisha H.

Go Beyond Barbering

Our students will participate in a wide range of studies and activities. Many of these courses are the same as the barbering program, so you will study the history of barbering, state laws and regulations, business and client development, and straight razor shaving.

Barber-stylist courses go beyond those courses, though. We will work on both the theory and the practical skills necessary to work in the barber-styling industry, and cover additional techniques that traditional cosmetologists learn such as hair coloring foils, and even perms.

These classes also include other business-related curriculum, including front-end salon management, merchandising techniques, sanitation and sterilization, and safety practices.

Through it all, our professionally trained instructors will focus on preparing you for the barber licensing exam, so you can jump right into your new career.
